Eco friendly Ganapathi : A small step towards better future As a child-Vineet Golde

I always had a deep love for Ganpati Bappa. The festival season brought so much joy to me, my friends, and my family. We celebrated with full hearts, but there was always one part of the festival that left me feeling unsettled—the goodbye to Bappa. Watching the idols, beautifully made but harmful to the environment, being immersed in water, left me troubled. I saw how much waste it created, how the plaster of Paris (POP) idols polluted the rivers, harming the aquatic life and affecting the people who lived nearby. It made me sad that something so sacred could cause such damage. After a heartfelt discussion with my parents, we decided to make a change. We chose to use eco-friendly Ganpati idols made from clay and cow dung. It may seem like a small step, but it felt meaningful to me. I believe that if more families start making these little changes, together we can protect our earth.By embracing these eco-friendly practices, we're not just helping the environment—we're contributing to the nation's development. Cleaner rivers mean healthier ecosystems, better agriculture, and improved health for everyone. It’s a small step, but in our own way, we’re helping to build a better, more sustainable future for our country.
